Latest Update on Preg. Status
Went to my Dr. on Friday & she's set my c-section for the 21st. Unless something changes radically when she sees me this Wednesday, that'll be the date. Still registering protein in my urine & my bp is staying high, just on the cusp of preeclampsia. She did NOT bed rest me but told me to avoid anything that makes my blood pressure go up, which varies, so just checking it thoughout the day. It lowers to decent levels when I'm just sitting so I think that's the only reason she's not put me on bed rest yet. With Clark it didn't matter how long I was sitting resting, my bp stayed high, which is why she bed-rested me then. Think we're right on the verge of that at this point. She wants to get him to the 38 wk point, which will be on the 21st (actually this is only 1 wk earlier than it would have been scheduled anyway because they take c-sections at 39 wks). Even still because I have SO much fluid she said it was POSSIBLE he might have to be in the NICU because when there's that much fluid, the lungs aren't able to develop as fully as normal. Just be praying that because he's big, that he's strong as well & that those lungs begin to do all the filling out they need to between now & next week. Oh yeah, when the sono tech measured him on Friday she said 9 lbs 8 oz but my dr & i both think that's a little TOO big for the progress so far. Just 1 1/2 wks prior he was registering 7 lbs 12 oz, which should make him over 8 lbs & probably over 9 lbs by the time he gets here. My dr said that'd be more in line with how he's been gaining the last few weeks. I did get the "big belly award" for the day though said my sono tech. HEEHEE! Anyway, will update again Wednesday if anything changes. Thanks for the prayers!

Sweetheart, you can count on our prayers.
Wow...whatever he weighs, what a big boy! That's so interesting too b/c i would think the more fluid the better and didn't realize it could negatively affect the lungs. He will be great though...strong and healthy! Will pray! PS...thanks for not having him this week...I was worried!
